DQ Series Quadrature Gear Tooth Speed and Direction Sensor
The DQ series delivers precise, non-contact speed and direction sensing for ferrous gear targets using Hall effect technology. With two digital outputs positioned 90° out of phase, these quadrature sensors provide reliable speed and rotational direction feedback, with true zero-speed or near-zero-speed options available for demanding motion-control applications.
Designed to detect gear teeth and other ferrous targets, the DQ series supports gears up to 32 pitch and provides two outputs per tooth for accurate monitoring of rotating equipment. Its solid-state, temperature-stable construction offers shock and vibration resistance, harsh-environment durability, and no wearing parts for dependable long-term performance.
The DQ series is available in a wide range of housings, mounting styles, electrical outputs, and connection configurations, including aluminum, stainless steel, and plastic housings; threaded and flange mounts; and NPN, PNP, open-drain, open-collector, and EMI-protected options.
